The only son of a man who is frequently
mistaken for Sean Connery, Kenneth John Schneider Jr. is often assumed to be
just another pretty face. One only needs to catch an ear full of his
fanciful guitar stylings and velvety tenor voice to know that he is so much
more. Kenny’s first love, music, takes a close second to his biggest love,
women. On the top of his list are wife Jamie and daughter Kennedy (named
for Kenny’s favorite Kennedy, Robert). They, along with son Tyler,
certainly keep the creative juices flowing.
As you may have noticed, Kenny’s single biggest influence is George Harrison of
the Beatles. This influence is so great that it transcends the musical
realm and often inspires Kenny to lead a vegetarian lifestyle (with Friday,
Saturday and Sunday nights off of course). When Kenny’s not playing or
writing music, he can be found educating or otherwise being educated (not to be
confused with gettin’ schooled).
In days of yore, Kenny could be found playing with the likes of Generation Gap
and Common Knowledge, stepping-stones for the now famous (or is she infamous)
Irene Sage. He’s also put in time with Penny Lane and the Subterraneans,
which is where he hooked up with the ever-pouncy Chip von Unwerth (who played in
Second Guessing with Randy and Dewey Play'em and Howe with Ricky and Jan) and the
stunning Shanda Brash. Kenny and Shanda’s 10 year writing relationship
finally got some national attention when their song Unreal (a.k.a. Lust) was
chosen as the lead track on Shanda Brash’s feature length collaboration (with
Victor Wooten!) "Good to Go."

Part of Kenny’s unmistakable guitar sound must be accredited to his stellar
choice of musical equipment. He can be found on the Four Unplugged stage
with his beloved Marshall 4-12 cabinet, his Digitec RP-20 digital processor, a
priceless HD-130 Reverb Music Man Amp (he likes it so much that he wrote a song
by the same name), and of course his guitars -- the lefty American Kramer,
Ovation acoustic, and his handmade lefty electric G&L guitar.
